Rappahannock Cellars continues to lead the Virginia Wine Industry, with a new and exciting “premium wine tasting experience”.
In recognizing the benefits of a proper glass for wine tasting, Rappahannock Cellars now offers its wine tastings utilizing separate high quality, red and white, wine glasses, for maximum analysis and enjoyment of their exceptional wines. Believe it or not a wine glass does influence the experience of tasting wine; and thus specific glasses are designed to complement general wine types. Examples include glasses that have a wider surface area to enable red wines to “open-up” their bound aromatics; or deep, closed top, wine glasses which allow an accumulation of aromas from delicate white wines, where they can be more fully enjoyed. Our wines can now be more properly enjoyed in these new elegant tasting glasses; one for our red wines, and one for the white wines.
In addition to our wines being poured in this new format, every tasting experience at Rappahannock Cellars will now include a bottle of tumai natural spring water. We are proud to serve Tumai water (whose name means “to hope” in Swahili), which is locally produced and named the “best springwater on earth” by Discovery Channel Canada, and whose partial profits fund development projects in impoverished areas around the world.
