Hey guess what? It’s snowmaged…-are you kidding me? Yep, unless you’re here for skiing, you’re probably pretty crazy from the snow right now; pacing the house in circles and changing socks every ten minutes … don’t you hate stepping on those little invisible melts of tracked-in snow? Even for me, after living in dry San Diego for the past few years, the snow has gotten old – fast.
So like the rest of you, I’ve had about all I can handle. This morning I got out of the house, holed myself up at the winery, and turned up the thermostat. I’m carefully guarding it from anyone who’s been keeping an eye on the heating bill, and things have gotten pretty cozy.
I’ve even enticed my younger sister to do some shoveling for me. She’s got a ways to go, but we’ve cleared a path; the driveway is plowed, the winery is warm, and the setting is … well, intimate
- Got my sister to shovel snow :)
- Just a little left…
- The path is cleared…
- Things are …intimate
Of course we’ve got our Valentine’s weekend coming up, and I’m sure I’ll see many of you then. But I’ll be here all the way through Monday, and you can bet I’ll keep the doors open. So if you’re crazy to get out of the house, come on in, have a glass, and you can tell me about the ‘outside world’ …I haven’t been off the farm in two weeks!
Stay warm, stay dry, and I hope I’ll see you for some wine!
Cheers,
Allan
